Hi Tom. All 11 miles of beaches at Presque Isle are beautiful and fun for families. I'm attaching a link that gives a general description about each beach available. All of the beaches are well marked.

I believe Beach 6 is the best for families with teenagers. It has volleyball courts along side it and it seems to draw lots of younger people. There is also a concession stand and changing area at this beach. If it seems super crowded the day of your visit, try to settle anywhere between beaches 6 & 10. While beach 11 is nice for families, it does not give you a very good view of the lake. It is a view more of the bay area. Another cool thing you'll hopefully get to see on your visit is Sunset Point. It's located between beaches 9 & 10. Lots of people fly kites in this area. I'm attaching another link that has some of the more popular attractions to do on the isle. There are a ton of charcoal grills located on Presque Isle available for your use. If you like grilling out bring a cooler with some goodies. The one unique aspect that I like about the beaches in Erie compared to ocean beaches is that there are trees everywhere, starting at the edge of the beaches. Shade is abundant when you need a lunch or dinner break from the summer sun.
